I find wallpaper to be intimidating. It feels more permanent than paint and it definitely is more daring. It can be risky however if it goes well, it goes REALLY well. Because of the wallpaper trend, I have found myself hunting for neutral styles that have character. When I mention wallpaper to clients, most times they shudder and give me a look of absolute fear. I try to calm their nerves by showing them beautiful examples but many times they find it hard to imagine. I figured out that if I introduce a more neutral selection, it breaks down that barrier and the client realizes it can be done tastefully. No more 90's style border wallpaper!
It occurred to me that every "neutral" style I picked had gold tones to it. Gold metallic shimmer will definitely add a little pizazz to a room without distracting from items within the room. Also, any color can partner with gold well making it feel more neutral. Gold can make a room feel more formal or could make a bathroom have a more glamorous vibe. I am a big proponent of spicing things up but in a tasteful non intimidating way. Above are just a few of my favorites!
